Meet Dr. Davis

Dentistry allows me an opportunity to connect with the local community by providing meaningful care and creating lasting relationships. The unique patients and staff I work with help me to further expand my perspectives and approach to providing quality dental care, and life in general. I feel lucky to be able to make a small impact on my patients’ quality of life by relieving pain, improving function, and beautifying smiles.

Education and in Practice

After gaining insight into dentistry from his hometown dentist, Dr. Davis saw the impact a career in the field could have on a community. He wanted to have that same opportunity, helping others to enjoy healthier and happier lives.

Dr. Davis attended North Carolina State University, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine and entered into practice.

As a dentist, Dr. Davis loves establishing relationships with patients and working to meet their individual oral health goals and needs. He also enjoys hearing people’s life stories, whether it be current events or memories from long ago. As the practice’s patients come from many different backgrounds, he appreciates learning of many diverse experiences.

Dr. Davis is honored to be part of a dental office where patients are assured they will be treated conservatively. By only performing the necessary dental procedures, and emphasizing prevention and patient education, the practice brings people to excellent oral health.

Likewise, Dr. Davis is pleased to work alongside a team with vast dental experience that knows how to really care for patients. Team members strive to keep patients comfortable throughout their visits and treat each person as family. The team is skilled, friendly, and funny, and is teaching Dr. Davis the down east lingo!

Professional Affiliations and Continuing Education

An active member of the American Dental Association and North Carolina Dental Society, Dr. Davis has access to numerous opportunities to further develop his knowledge. He is currently involved in an online continuing education platform called CDOCS – Comprehensive Clinical Education.

Completing advanced training and courses through CDOCS allows Dr. Davis to stay up-to-date on the latest and greatest evidence-based dental techniques and procedures. His patients benefit from this knowledge, as they receive the best possible care with predictable, stable results: beautifully healthy smiles.

Beyond the Practice

Originally from Williamston, Dr. Davis now resides in New Bern with his wonderful wife and their five-year-old Aussiedoodle. He and his wife like to travel and find new places to explore. They love the outdoors and living closer to the beach where there are so many water sport activities to enjoy!

Being with family and friends is Dr. Davis’s priority away from the office. If the weather cooperates, most of his time is spent outdoors enjoying fishing, boating, kayaking, and biking. And anytime NC State sports are playing, he can be found cheering on the Wolfpack: Go Pack!

Giving Back

Dr. Davis is excited about the service opportunities that await, whether volunteering at a local dental charity or traveling abroad to provide much needed dental care to underserved individuals. He looks forward to using his knowledge and skills to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and enhance people’s appearance, while improving oral health and quality of life.
